How cool would it be to have extreme sports at your school?? Well on Saturday Haileybury College did it! #coolestschoolever
Yes that right the team at Australian Mountainboarders provided Mountainboard lessons at the Haileybury Spring Harvest fair. As a local The Spring Harvest Fair was one of the coolest fairs I've been to in a long time with Food Trucks, live music, art displays, carnival rides and of course Mountainboard lessons! - Great to see in the local community..
Normally we have our Mobile Mountain Mini set up on flat ground which is great but we were pleasantly surprised to arrive at a beautiful grass slope!! (which is perfect for Mountainboarding).
This allowed us to set up our starting ramp on top of the hill and gave our students a longer ride! Which really helped our students progress throughout the day. Our instructor Daniel Foreman took the team over the basics of Mountainboarding. Turning, stopping and starting. Which didn't take the kids long to master and soon enough they were tackling more advanced manoeuvres such as powerslides and even jumps!
We had great weather and managed to nail all 4 of our lessons just before the famous Melbourne Thunderstorm came in. I think there will be many new Mountainboarders coming out of Berwick after this weekends lessons.. the smiles didn't stop!
If you would like to check out more photos from the day you can check out our Facebook Page HERE
If your kids had a lesson with us, we'd love a google review which you can leave right HERE
(it takes two seconds and would mean a lot to us :) )
